The wind held for day 2 and the spinnaker trimmers are spent. The first race saw a strong surge by the Minnetonka crew. Pat Hughes won race one. What a sight watching the M-21 and M-1 surging downwind. Those two hit a speed unseen. Hughes, Evans, Burton, Ronning, and THE SHADY LADY in 7th. What a great M race.

Race two was a four and a half with "too many corners" for the front of the boats. It took to the eighth place to break the Geneva-Minnetonka tryst. But it was just the finest spectating and sailing ever seen.

tipover

Only one tipover today. And here's how it's done. Jim Smith pulling the bow and John Porter (we miss him in the fleet) pulling from the backstay. Still a difficult task but with the help of the Krech spectator boat on the mast, the Amazinn came up.
