Early Results Day 1 - MC Scow Cowtown Classic

Article courtesy of Eric Hood - Two light air races this morning with 31 MC Scows on the line. On a race delay here at lunch time waiting for wind to star races 3 and 4 later today.
Ted Keller of Torch Lake and Hoover Sailing Club here in Columbus is off to a quick start with two bullets. Right behind Ted is Torch Lake's Peter Comfort , followed by Richard Blake from Hoover, then EHood from Zenda and Lake Eustis then in fifth is Hoover's Jay Hueling. Complete results later today once they are posted.
This morning was your classic find the velocity type racing and do not worry to much about direction. The breeze was very unstable after the big Midwest storm system went rumbling through here last night. Just focused movement in the boat to keep the boat moving was really key throughout the races this morning.
We have had some fun so far with the 7 practice races yesterday in very good breeze . Ron Stryker is hosting his famous Prime Rib dinner tonight.
