After a tough battle the first Audi Melges 20 German Open – Nepomuk Preis goes to Manfredi Vianini Tolemei’s Maolca, who defeated just at very the end, an untamed Cinghiale owned and helmed by Rob Wilber.

During the weekend organized by the Audi Melges 20 German Fleet in collaboration with Bayerischer Yacht Club, Melges Performance Sailboats and Melges Europe, three races were sailed, one on Saturday and two on Sunday. The racing was characterized by light winds and some intense matchracing between Vianini Tolemei and Wilber, who lead the event going into the final day. The only German boat who came close to challenging them was GER 163 helmed by Theresa Majer with Marcus Otto as tactician and Christina Fuchs as tailer.

On the last day the races were both won, even not without difficulty, by Vianini Tolemei, who led him for two times back Wilber and the couple Theresa Majer-Marcus Otto.

The positions were maintained evenly in the middle of the fleet, with Maroi by Jan Kowalski-Axel Polack and Mojito by Florian Rixner always keeping really close. Florian Keller-Mario Weichel overtook Carsten Giesselmann thanks to the their best result in the last race. Bernhard Behringer closed the ranking.

The Eurofleet appreciated the superb Bavarian hospitality!
