2012 Melges 24 World Championship Competitor Notice: Sail Admin, Car Parking & Social Programme
17 July 2012
Here are a few more very important things for your attention as we prepare for the Melges 24 Worlds in Torbole:
Sail Measurement And Labels
Please don't forget that all sails must be fully measured and signed with their IM24CA Sail Label affixed before you present them at the Worlds. It will not be possible for sails to be measured at the event so you must make sure you have completed all of this in advance.
If you are missing Sail Labels on your sails (they should have been be supplied and fitted by your sailmaker but please check just in case) you need to order them most urgently from http://www.melges24.com/sail-stickers. Note they have to be shipped to you from Finland so order today if you need them.
Car Parking & Shuttle Bus
Because we have such a big entry only cars with car parking passes will be allowed on site and everyone is asked to park as thoughtfully as possible to ensure the most efficient use of the space.
There will be security at the entrance and each boat will be permitted 1 car parking pass so plan your trips to and from the site each day accordingly. The club is organising shuttle buses that will be available to transport competitors between the club and town centre (more details will be available at registration) or if you are able to go to and from the club by bike or on foot please do so as this will help us to keep everything running smoothly.
The Corinthian Entry List has been published and can be viewed online.
The ISAF Sailor Classification Commission Representative, Mr Antony Matusch, will be attending the event and conducting classification review interviews with selected sailors. These interviews will take place during the registration period and the times and location for the interviews will be published on the Official Notice Board. The initial interview list is available by clicking here.
Additional names may added to the list at any point between now and the end of registration. Failure to attend for interview will result in that team being removed from the Corinthian Division.
If anyone has any problems or questions about the above please contact the IM24CA Admin, Fiona Brown.
