The Melges MC Zenda University kicks off on Tuesday, March 12. A racing course that is limited to 20 participants. Sailors from around the USA travel to Lake Eustis, Florida for the Zenda University course run by Melges Experts. Two days of intense workouts take place. We like to run the practice sessions like a real regatta. Lots of races, starting practice, mark roundings, tacking and jibing drills. Best of all you learn what to practice in your MC so you become better. Jim Gluek, Eric Hood, Ted Keller and Andy Burdick are the instructors for the 2 day clinic. Then the fleet rolls right into the MC Midwinter Championship where this year over 80 boats will participate.

The course participants rigged and tuned their boats today in preparation for an 8am breakfast, 9am course introduction and then a morning sail session from 10-12. This photo shows two brand new Melges MC's with our new North Z-1 Mainsails out tuning up in preparation for the course. The new boats look FAST and the new Z-1 Mainsail is a great new shape.

Time to prepare for Spring.
