Paul Hulsey On Hoodlum Racing Crowned 2013 Melges 24 Gold Cup Champion

Chicago, IL - It came down to the last day and the last race, but in the end Detroit's Paul Hulsey on Hoodlum Racing came from behind to win the 2013 Melges 24 Gold Cup Regatta hosted by the Chicago Yacht Club on countback. USMCA Gulf Coast District Governor Ryan Glaze and his team on Gringo traveled from Texas, to win the Corinthian title.

The Melges 24 fleet enjoyed another four races on Sunday to make a complete series of eight leaving Hulsey at the top of the heap. Arygle Campbell on Rock n' Roll, tied in points with Hulsey, fought hard all weekend to settle for second place. Alec Cutler's Hedgehog fought the fierce fight as well to finish third overall. Bora Gulari on New England Ropes/West Marine Rigging was fourth and Conor Clarke on Embarr rounded out the top five.
