Audi Tron Sailing Series - Act 3 Eco-Friendly Sailing Comes Back To Riva Del Garda

Riva del Garda, May 19th 2015 - Just after the victory of Torpyone in Porto Venere as the Melges 32 “King of Poets” the Audi tron Sailing Series are getting ready for their next stop. Riva del Garda will be hosting the third act of the series with the open hunt for the next Melges 24 “King of the Lake”. The Audi Hospitality Village will be open from tomorrow with the first warning signal set on Friday.
The upper Lake Garda side with its alternating Peler and Ora wind is very appreciated for its favourable weather conditions and the technical racing course. The venue offers diverse touristic attractions that can satisfy anyone's desire ranging from outdoor activities and relaxing breakaways.
Riva del Garda was recently reported by the Giornale della Vela (Sailing Magazine) as one of the best racing courses in the world offering unique venues, just to name a few the city's main square by the lake, the Inviolata Church, the Pretorio Palace, the Bastione and the small area called Pregasina, the road to the Ledro Lake where you can experience an amazing view.
After races there are plenty of possibilities for sailors, the visiting audience and sailing fans alike to experience any kind of outdoor sport such as: trekking, mountain bike, paragliding, free climbing and much more.
As per regulations no powerboats can sail this side of Lake Garda, supporting the “clean environemt” cause also this year the Audi tron Sailing Series has equipped every racing boat with Torqeedo electric outboards.

Melges 24s racing in Riva del Garda
As said above, the Fraglia Vela Riva will be hosting the first Melges boats racing for three weekends in a row, it will be the time for the around fifty Melges 24 boats coming from fourteen world nations to race together before the important World Championship taking place in Middelfart, Denmark.
Among the top teams worth mentioning we have Riccardo Simoneschi's Audi tron, Andrea Rachelli's Altea, ICZ of the Czeck Olympian Martin Trcka, Lenny of the 2-time Olympic medal Tonu Toniste, Gianluca Perego's Maidollis and Andrea Pozzi's Bombarda Racing.
Races will be supported by the skilled managing staff of the Fraglia Vela Riva, races will be starting off on Friday and concluding on Sunday.
