The Melges C has made several leaps forward in the last 10 seasons of racing. The first leap took place when Melges Performance Sailboats began to produce their new C boats out of the MPreg system. The new boats became full of life. They feel lighter, jumpier and quicker overall. In 2008 that is still the case.

The next leap forward took place when we began to use Plexus as our primary bonding agent. The bulkheads, lattice work and backbone were all bonded using Plexus. Again, the boats began to feel faster and actually proved to be faster in 2003. The progression
has been clear to the racing sailor.

The new 2008 Melges Boats come complete. The best hardware, the best control lines are instituted. We put all our efforts into making the new boats first class. They are exciting! Fast and built to last!
