Report right out of Zenda, Wisconsin — Audi Melges 20s are everywhere in shop as we are producing boats for the 2010 racing season. Check out the latest photos of a container leaving for Melges Europe in Italy. Four Audi Melges 20’s were put into a container just before the New Year.

Great racing in the USA with the newly formed Miami Winter Series and a fantastic tour in Europe make this boat a global success right off the bat. Watch for more boats to be leaving the factory in famous Zenda, Wisconsin USA.

Melges Scow Racing And The Early
Season MC Report

The scow scene is hot and shaping up for the 2010 season. Melges has many boats on order for each class. Largest production number to date: Melges E scows lead the way! Thanks to a well organized class and the exciting new asymmetrical rig – this class is on the upswing big time!

From the Melges X to the Melges C, there are healthy new boat numbers. One exciting fact is that the Melges 17 has a strong build order with many new faces coming into the scow sailing scene. Michigan and Indiana are leading the way in orders and we see a lot of new Melges 17 prospects in these areas. Traditional scow beds such as Minnetonka, Lake Geneva and Pewaukee already have nice fleets and will grow in number for 2010.

Melges Rocks Key West Race Week

The premier event of the winter is Key West Race Week. The Melges 24 and the Melges 32 classes love this event because the boats are easy to trailer, rig, launch and retrieve. Peter Craig and his team put on quite a show and Melges will be there to support the racing.

Midweek Melges puts on the official Melges Rocks Party which has quickly become THE night out during Race Week. ‘Hello Dave’ jets in to pump out the tunes while the Melges Fleets Rock Key West into the morning hours. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Island Dogs Bar – Be There!
