Agreement - I-1 Version
When
you are talking about the ultimate sailing boat with speed, performance
and crew work you are talking about the Melges E Scow. This
boat is the best of the best. Our shop in Zenda takes great pride
in progressing this boat each season in order to make the ultimate
boat year after year. Recently, we have seen a progression in
the rig of the E scow. Modeled after the E's big brother the A
scow we find our new E boats with chainplates further aft in the
boat. Spreaders swept further aft and no backstays or twings on
the deck layout.
These developments have made the New 2008 Melges E's much
easier to sail. The deck layout is ultra-clean making it easier
on the skipper and both crew up front.
The new boats coming out of our shop have the new foil rudders
along with our new style self stepping mast step. Literally, one
person can put up the E scow mast now. There is no need to have
your team present to put the mast up. Again, another progression.
You have to see these 2008 boats. Stop by our shop in Zenda
or see a new boat at a major regatta. These new boats are a sight
to behold!
The
Melges Wedge Spar -
an exclusive with only the Melges E! The wedge spar provides
the cleanest, truest bend. The quality workmanship that goes into
achieving its taper produces unequaled performance. Of course,
the boom with our B-Vang compliments the spar package, utilizing
aft clips and forward spinnaker post to accommodate the Melges
tapered spinnaker pole. All aluminum is anodized, stainless; tumbled
to eliminate corrosion. Rigging is stainless steel cable and Ronstan
calibrated turnbuckles contribute to spar tune consistency. The
adjustable outhaul on the boom is 8:1 mechanical advantage.

The most complete
racing package in the world; winning all of the major regattas
for 22 years straight! Just add water and win with the MELGES
PERFORMANCE E.
|
Adjustable
hiking straps for all 4 crew come standard on the Melges E. Two
center line bailers come standard, these keep your E dry while sailing.
We have increased the size of
the spinnaker bags on the new boats and have mounted one on the
port side and one on the starboard side cleaning up the cockpit
area. This new arrangement is much improved.

We use Melges-Marlow Excel Pro line for all control lines on the
boat. These are polypropylene lines and they are the best! These
are mounted to our ring frames internally which were new in 1995.
