The Melges M16 is an excellent two person racing scow. Designed for couples, woman and youths Melges had in mind a boat that would be fast, stable and tactical on the race course. This is what you get with the New Melges M16. A national regatta scene allows these boats to race at a high race level. Club races at local lakes make it fun for beginners to enjoy the Melges M16. The Team in Zenda has formulated the best boat possible. Stop by and see the boat up close or call and go for a test sail. The Melges M16 has never been this GOOD!

Melges has simplified the new boats by adding a stationary mast (much better upwind in breeze, more stable, easier to step the mast, the new masts are lighter). We have also done away with the rear traveler so that sail controls are minimal and cost effective. The single rudder and tiller gives the new boat a feel of control and quick adjustment in order to sail around waves etc. This simplifies the boat. The new M16 is quick, clean, simple and built with extreme quality for the consumer.
