Melges originally designed and began production of the Melges MC back in the late 1950's. Now we have over 2400 boats sailing across the country. We have over 85 fleets nationwide. We have over 50 regattas each season that you can attend. We have an excellent class website: mcscow.org. At a national championship we have over 100 boats starting all at the same time - what an experience that is!

Whether you want to race your Melges MC or just simply enjoy the boat for what it is - a simple singlehanded daysailer that is fast, responsive and stable! The Melges MC has the best of both worlds. Also, because the Melges MC has such a large and deep cockpit you can take another sailor along with you. Twice the fun!

Our new Melges Performance Sailboats feature our exclusive M-Preg building system which has stiffened the hulls, increased our laminate quality thus, improving our overall product. The boats are light in the ends making for ultimate performance on the race course.

The new rigging systems installed are smooth. Especially with the use of spectron line and marlow xl pro line. The vang has fingertip control. The outhaul pulls on and eases off with ease. These new controls are awesome!

Melges' new mast step design is a nice improvement. See the photos below. With all new boats you can step the mast by yourself. No need to have anyone hold the base of the mast for you. Walk it up, hook up your forestay and you are done!
