The 2012 Melges 24 Fall Championship hosted by the Lake Geneva Yacht Club on Lake Geneva, Wisconsin – the home of the Melges 24 – is less than two weeks away, October 5-7!

Fifteen boats have already registered for this event including teams from the United States, Canada, and Great Britain with over twenty-five boats expected to be in attendance!

Among the competitors for the Fall Championship is Bora Gulari, sailing West Marine Rigging/New England Ropes, who has two wins under his belt in the 2012 season winning at the Key West Race Week and at the Sperry Top-Sider Charleston Race week.  Gulari also won the 2011 U.S. National Championship, hosted by Lake Geneva Yacht Club.

Mike Dow and his crew on Flying Toaster is returning to the Fall Championship after winning the event in 2010. Mike Dow and the crew are making their first appearance for the 2012 season and are sure do everything in their power to reclaim the title at this prestigious regatta.

The 2012 Melges 24 Fall Championship is sure to be a very competitive and entertaining regatta with a great social event schedule including social hours, continental breakfasts, smorgasbord lunches, and Saturday night’s “Octoberfest Celebration” dinner.

Registration can be made in person at the Lake Geneva Yacht Club from 4:00 – 7:00pm on Friday, October 5, 2012 and from 8:00 to 9:00am on Saturday, October 6, 2012.

Advanced registration is encouraged and may be completed with the Online Entry Form/Application at or via U.S. Mail using the entry form.
